You \nTo be successful in the role of Planning Manager, you’ll bring:\n \nA background in Building Surveying or related fields: Technical experience within Building Surveying, Asset Management, Technical Estates Management, Lifecycle Planning, or Hard FM (suitable for professionals with 3–5+ years of experience). \nStrong commercial awareness: The confidence to challenge technical information produced by other experienced professionals, negotiate with stakeholders, and interpret long-term asset liabilities. \nExcellent communication skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to act as a trusted technical authority.
\nAbility to interpret datasets: Proven capability working with structured asset data, asset registers, condition data, and lifecycle assumptions with a "super nerd" attention to detail. \nFamiliarity with PFI/PPP contracts: An understanding of PPP/PFI contracts, infrastructure contracts, or long-term asset management obligations. An MRICS qualification and sector experience in Healthcare, Education, or Custodial estates are highly desirable.
